Blogging Against LGBT Discrimination

Lately I’ve been working for Freedom for All Americans, doing a lot of blogging for state-based campaigns against anti-LGBT legislation, as well as campaigns that simply raise awareness of LGBT issues.

I’ve written about sports organizations and businesses speaking out against SB 757 in Georgia, and I broke down the statistics on just how widespread support is for statewide LGBT protections, especially among conservative and religious Georgians. I also wrote a longer-form blog post on how generally hostile the Georgia business community is to this bill.

I’ve also done some work on the business backlash to proposed anti-LGBT legislation in Missouri, the recent comprehensive human rights ordinance passed in Kokomo, Indiana, and I’ve written extensively on North Carolina’s disastrous HB 2.

And since I live in Massachusetts I’m so happy to have the opportunity to be active here as well, helping spread the word about SB 735/HB 1577 (known also as #TrasnBillMA), which would protect transgender Bay Staters from discrimination in public places.
